[ Persona... compendium... PC. It's not an automatic process, though, and it's a little more complicated than he can wrap his mind around, so he sort of just shakes his head and shrugs helplessly, to indicate that he knows fuck all anything else about the process. ]
I've never seen this one before, though. [ He gives Chansey a poke on the side. Or ass. He can't see what he's poking, it's just a huge expanse of pink on his lap. ]
[ Nanami nods. She sees. So, it's similar to Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei and its demon program. That makes sense to her. She nods again in response to Minato's question. ]
It's a Chansey. It's a normal-type Pokemon.
[ She looks upwards as she thinks. It's finally time to start figuring out what's going on. ]
[ Normal type is like... what... beast Persona or something. It doesn't really matter, if he can't get this thing off of him, so instead he leans forward and presses his cheek against Chansey to use as a pillow while he looks around the room.
It's a pretty small room, four beds and a sink in the back with a cabinet above it, and a door that leads outside. Empty, clean, and white. ]
It looks like a hospital...
[ He tears his gaze off the door and looks back at Nanami. ]
[ Such a sentence would have shaken most people to the core, but not for Nanami. She knows she died. There's no doubt about it. Her real-life counterpart died years ago and she, this copied version of the original, was executed. She doesn't seem very distressed about that, however. She willingly chose to accept her death and even asked for it, so she's not that upset. It was for her friends, but she's more confused. Do programs go to an afterlife? Is this the recycle bin? ]
[ Recycle bin............ as if they'd have the mercy of sparing her shift delete. ]
Mm... I don't know. I'd like to think so.
[ He thinks of Aigis, naturally, of how she'd grown to become her own person and how he'd left her behind... He wouldn't want her to follow him here after death, no matter how lonely he feels without her and everybody else, no matter her promise to always be by his side. ]
I wouldn't know if this is heaven, though. Purgatory, maybe? The space before it.
[ There's no reason for him to believe he would go to heaven, but maybe Nanami still has a chance. ]
[ It suits better as well. The afterlife isn't just split into heaven and hell and, well, this doesn't look like heaven like they look like in games. Where are the clouds? Don't they get angel wings? ]
[ He agrees readily, but there's still the problem of being a temporarily (HOPEFULLY) paraplegic, and he makes one last attempt to rolls Chansey off his lap so he can get off the floor. ]
Hey, uh... hm. What's your name?
[ He looks to Nanami helplessly, and then goes back to the Pokemon. ]
[ There's nothing wrong with peeing your pants, Minato. Nanami can immediately think of one character who peed their pants for their first appearance in a video game series and he's still a beloved main character (i.e. Otacon). She won't judge. ]
... Chansey, can you stand up?
[ Nanami still has an egg in her hands so she can't poke it. I hope the Chansey just looks at them like this. ]
Maybe if he pees his pants, it'll get uncomfortable enough and get off. It'll be his last resort, so he hopes Nanami wins this staring contest and sets him free. Barring that, maybe there's something in his pocket he can use... a goho-m maybe...
He pulls out a pocketfull of rancid gravy and tries to reach around Chansey to entice it, and ends up sort of smearing its side with gravy. ]
[ Oh my god. It's been there since last April so almost a full year, yeah, that's getting the Chansey off his lap with a shriek, and it runs out of the door screaming down the hall with panicked "Chan! Chan! Chan!!" while the sounds of multiple doors being flung open can be heard outside of the room.
Somebody pulls the fire alarm and the alarms start blaring, lights start flashing, and the ceiling sprinklers go off too for good measure, because maybe that can help wash out the smell.
[ Can you start off a social link already reversed? Just get to the first level but it's immediately red? Asking for a friend because she has video games in her backpack and she's going to be very upset about getting them wet. ]
[ She would just bolt but she actually cares about people so she doesn't ditch Minato, as much as he deserves it. She'll help him up and out but as soon as they're standing amidst all the other evacuees, she gives him the face in the icon while taking off her backpack. She is soaked and her bag is dripping... ]
[ Invest in waterproof backpacks, Nanami... Minato stands and almost immediately collapses back against the bed because his legs are on fire as the blood finally gets the chance to flow through them again.
That look on her face is hard to pretend he didn't notice... He doesn't have much on him besides the clothes on his back, but he can at least shrug off a soggy jacket and lay it down over her head and backpack, where it doesn't help very much because it's also wet, but it'll keep her and her things from getting wetter, maybe. For a minute. ]
Let's... get outside.
[ Thunder booms overhead, followed by the drumming of heavy rain on the roof. ]
[ Nanami pouts harder than she has ever pouted before in her life. She holds the bag close to her, trying to further shield it under her jacket. Minato's own jacket doesn't feel like it's doing much because it's heavy from all the water and just causing her to shrink down. It does help a bit, she supposes but her handhelds better be safe or else she'll allow murder to happen just this one time. ]
...
[ Looking at the downpour outside, staying indoors with the gross sprinkler water seems slightly attractive but she doesn't get a choice because an army of Chanseys is pushing them all out. ]
[ Two seconds to smack his hand away before he reaches into his pocket and pulls out the gravy again. I can't believe Rei and Souji would both eat this, probably, but instead you're playing Nanami. ]
[ Nanami put glue in her mouth before she even knew that it was glue, Card. Do not underestimate my characters and their ability to eat whatever they want. ]
[ However, I will spare Nanami of that fate because the moment that he pulls it out, he's immediately tackled by five Chanseys. This is it!! This is the source of the gas leak!! He brought it out with him!! Of course, all of that is communicated with very frantic screams of its own name and a few other Pokemon quickly start to gather around. Get rid of the chemical!! Break his hand if you can't get to it properly!! ]
[ stares out the window bc you give me this opportunity and after a minute or two of chaos, the Chanseys manage to grab the gravy and fling it out the window and call upon some of the police's Growlithes to set it on fire and Minato is left there in a heap in the middle of the hallway with his wrist bend the wrong way. Maybe there's a little bone jutting out, idk how wrist fractures look like and I'm not brave enough to Google image search that. ]
[ I keep getting x-rays but after seeing those, I think I'm okay. Nanami is normally very calm, not even really freaking out during her execution, but even she is a little distressed seeing Minato's wrist like that. With the hazardous material dealt with, everyone claps and then disperses to clean up the place because the sprinklers have finished by now. No one does anything about Minato being on the ground asides from Nanami. ]
[ She bends down next to him and tries not to look at his wrist. Ouch... ]
... Pokemon Centres only heal Pokemon, not humans. We need to find you a human doctor.
[ I took courage from you and searched "broken wrist with exposed bone" and I have some real regrets, Ichi ):
Minato stares at his wrist for a moment, waiting for the shock to subside so he can feel actual pain that will make this seem more real than the overwhelming numbness that falls over him, body shutting down in a way he doesn't like. It's to protect him, he knows, but returning to numbness... ]
I don't have any money.
[ He wasted all of it on butler uniforms and bathing suits, he can't pay for treatment. ]
[ Why would you give me the exact quote to google, Card. I have regrets as well now :( ]
[ Nanami definitely doesn't have any money either, unless you count Monocoins but even then, only Hinata collected those. She only has video games, so would the doctors take those? Well, if they don't, she just needs to go into any store and sell them for money. You could sell anything to random people and they'll give you tons of cash. ]
Mm, I guess I could sell some of my games...
[ It'd be hard to part away from them (assuming that they're even okay and that they work in her wet bag), but Minato's wrist is far more important. ]
[ What's a wrist when you have spare one? If Nanami's carrying things around with her, obviously important enough she needs to keep them out of the rain, he doesn't want her to have to pawn them off for his sake. He can sell his... shoes... maybe his watch. It'll be okay as long as it's splinted, so he leans when he walks so that his arm hangs straight down and isn't in danger of bumping into anything, and gestures with his other hand towards the door where all the Chanseys are bustling in and out making sure all these other soul monsters are okay. Minato tries not to think too hard about there being a dozen Personas and no Persona user, because the Personas probably just murdered their host or something.
He's dead! Nothing matters! He heads outside to see what it's like. ]
[ It's difficult to actually see anything outside with the heavy rain. It's pouring down hard and it doesn't look like it's going to let up anytime soon. Stepping out for even a brief second is definitely going to drench either one of them... ]
[ Nanami stares at the rain for a second before she kneels down. She needs to be prepared if they're going to go out in that rain and that means she needs to protect her games. She carefully sets down her bag and the Chansey egg on the floor before she opens the former to dig out her various handhelds and games. They're a little wet but they seem okay so that's good. Give her a moment to carefully wrap them in her hoodie before she puts them back in. In the meanwhile... ]
[ A grey blur bodyslams itself into Minato's chest. It hits like a heavy, wet balled-up towel and jumps on his shoes before it scurries into Nanami's bag. Minato is not allowed to live for causing this disaster in the first place. ]

[ She says this so matter-of-fact as if everyone is just born with a hat and a bag. ]
Mm, it goes into a PC. Where do your soul monsters go after twelve?
